A Fun and Scenic Benefit Ride!

Hyannis, MA, Sun June 7, 2020

38 Miles of Cycling & Smiles Through all the Villages of Barnstable, Cape Cod

The start and end of the ride is at Aselton Park, the corner of South Street and Ocean Avenue in Hyannis, MA. The route is a scenic tour highlighting the villages of Barnstable on historic, quiet secondary roadways. A map of the ride is at the bottom of the page.

As part of the event, for those that wish to test their speeds, there will be three King of the Mountains (KOM’s) and Queen of the Mountains (QOM’s). This is an optional extra part of the event and not mandatory.  They are the DEVO cycling KOM/QOM, the Sea Sports Cyclery KOM/QOM, and the Larry Gray Cup, sponsored by Cape Cod Cycling Club. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female riders in each of the KOM's and QOM's, plus a perpetual trophy for the Larry Gray Cup.

Please join us for some post ride YOGA after you finish your ride! Local YOGA instructors will be offering short easy post ride sessions. Stretching after any athletic endeavor helps to avoid the tightening of your muscles and increases your recovery time. Everyone is welcome!

Event Beneficiaries

Barnstable Land Trust (BLT) is the only private nonprofit organization dedicated solely to preserving the open spaces and natural resources within the Town of Barnstable on Cape Cod. BLT is supported by generous contributions from the community and from our members. BLT is currently the steward of 1,100 acres of land in Barnstable’s seven villages.

Calmer Choice is a universal prevention program committed to teaching young people how to effectively and safely manage stress and resolve conflict so that they live happy, healthy and successful lives. Our goal is to provide skills that will diminish the risk of violence, substance abuse, and other self-destructive behaviors.

The Cape Cod Maritime Museum is a non-profit based in Hyannis, Massachusetts. We are Cape Cod's first museum dedicated to our rich maritime culture. Our mission includes preserving the rich seafaring traditions which Cape Cod and the Islands are famous for.
